The website bloggingtheboys.com deserves major kudos for the a very interesting article that reconstructs the Dallas Cowboys 2012 draft board and shows a picture of what an actual player placard looks like on the board.
This is a great article for every NFL prospect to read because it shows there is no exact science to player evaluations and draft strategy. Each of the 32 teams will have a unique approach to the draft, and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Furthermore, this article proves despite being identified as an "NFL Prospect" by an NFL scout, the media, college coaches, friends and/or family members, not ALL "NFL Prospects" will be listed on a teams draft board. Out of 254 picks in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Cowboys only had 132 players on it!
The article also does a tremendous job highlighting why the Cowboys totally ignored other first round prospects and players that fit a particular body type. As we tell all our clients, we don't need all 32 teams to like you, we just need one team to love you. Love from two is ideal.
